collectively referred to as “LNGcold”, “we”, “us” or “our” in this privacy notice.
If you have any questions about this privacy notice, including any requests to exercise your legal rights, please contact our data protection officer at dataprotection@lngcold.energy or use the contact point shown above.
It is important that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal data changes during your interaction with us.
2. What types of personal data do we process?
2.1 Website visitors
In general, website visitors may browse through our website without providing us with any personal information (defined below) about them (though they will provide non-identifying information, as described below).
Like most website operators, LNGcold collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. Our purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use its website.
LNGcold also collects information which is potentially personally-identifying, like for example internet protocol (IP) addresses. IP addresses are anonymised when used for functions such as analysis.
2.2 Gathering of personally-identifying information
Certain visitors to LNGcold choose to interact with LNGcold in ways that require us to gather personally-identifying information. “Personally-identifying information” is information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, and it may include information such as your name, job titles, postal and delivery addresses, e-mail address, phone number, fax number as well as any other identifying information you choose to provide to us or upload to our systems in connection with the services.
In each case, LNGcold collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfil the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with LNGcold. LNGcold does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the drawback that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities, like making enquiries.
All of the information that is collected on LNGcold’s website will be handled in accordance with GDPR legislation.
3. How and why do we collect and use your personal data?
LNGcold collects and stores personal information which you enter on our website or provide to us otherwise, e.g., during offline contacts. You are never under any obligation to provide personal information. If you choose not to provide personal information, however, you may not be able to use certain website services. If you do provide personal information to us, you are consequently authorizing us to use that information in accordance with the terms of this privacy notice.
LNGcold will use personal information that you provide solely for the purposes stated in this privacy notice (e.g., to send you information which you request). LNGcold may use the collected information to contact customers to discuss a customer’s potential additional interest in LNGcold, its products and services, and its promotions and events. We may also use collected information in order to provide you with a personalised experience on our website, such as providing you with content in which you may be interested and making navigation on our website easier.
LNGcold will use the information we collect via our website in order to administer our website and for internal operations, including troubleshooting, data analysis, testing, statistical and survey purposes. Furthermore in order to improve our website and in order to ensure that content is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your computer.
We will make any possible effort to keep our website safe and secure for our visitors and customers.
3.1 Anonymous Information and Cookies
With the intent of constantly increasing our website’s quality, we may also track and analyse non-identifying statistical information on our visitor’s usage of our website. For example, our website and some of our services use cookies and other similar tracking technologies to uniquely identify your browser and to gather information about how you interact with our website and service.
A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. Once you agree, the file is added and the cookie helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.
Overall, cookies help us provide you with a better website, by enabling us to monitor which pages you find useful and which you do not. A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us.
You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.
3.2 Use and Disclosure of both personal information and anonymous information
We may also use the information to analyse statistical use patterns and demographic data, including where our website visitors come from and what demographic characteristics they have, and to improve the website to better serve our users.
At times, we may retain third parties to analyse the information to help us improve our services and our website by, for example, learning details regarding the number of users of our website and what pages of the website users frequent most. These third parties are not authorized to use your information any other way and are required to keep the information confidential.
LNGcold reserves the right to and will release your personal information or anonymous information, without your consent and without notice to you, if required to do so by law, or by search warrant, subpoena, or court order.
